Embrey Partners Ltd. has hired Randy Powell as its new executive vice president of construction.
The 25-year industry veteran previously worked for the local office of Yates Construction as a senior vice president, where he managed multiple divisions and oversaw public and private sector projects across the country. His experience spans multiple sectors including multifamily; mixed-use; precast structures; senior, student and military housing; high-rise condos; office; manufacturing; and hospitality with a national project portfolio of more than $2 billion.
“Randy brings Embrey a wide range of diverse expertise and experience that fits our mission to elevate value in everything we do,” President and CEO Trey Embrey said in a statement. “He will add leadership strength to an already strong team.”
Before working at Yates, Powell led Clark Pacific’s general contracting division and was president of Walsh Construction’s Northern California division. Powell began his career as a laborer and carpenter and worked his way up to executive. He has a bachelor’s degree in management from California State University, Fresno, and an MBA from California State University, Stanislaus.
“I take pride in understanding and appreciating what it takes to construct a building,” Powell said in a statement. “I love the tactile side of the business, a physical reminder of and a memorial to all the teamwork and effort that goes into each and every project.”
