Embrey Partners has completed its purchase of 3.9 acres north of the new Nashville Sounds ballpark that will eventually be the new home for a 306-unit multifamily building.
The San Antonio-based company bought the property from the Metropolitan Sports Authority for $3.45 million.
Construction should begin soon at the site between 4th and 5th avenues north and Jackson and Jefferson streets. The apartment community will be called The Carillon.
Embrey Builders, an affiliate of Embrey Partners, will handle the construction. Embrey Management Services will manage the development.
“We are thrilled to close on this property and begin construction on an urban infill project that is as meaningful to us as it is to the city of Nashville,” said Robert Hunt, Embrey’s executive vice president-development.
The First Tennessee Park ballpark should open in the spring.
