The historic Pearl Brewery was transformed into a 750,000-square-foot mixed-use village that includes 340 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The project's intention was to retain the identity of the brewery while repurposing key parts of the compound to accommodate new uses. The village has places to gather, visit, dine, work, shop, live and interact with indoor spaces that spill onto plazas, patios and public areas. The village is connected to an extension of San Antonio's historic RiverWalk and hosts lectures, culinary events, outdoor movies, musical performances and a farmers market. Apartments have high ceilings, stainless-steel appliances, walk-in closets, ceiling fans, built-in desks and shelving, garden tubs and washers and dryers.
