An apartment builder is kicking off construction in The Gate — one of the major developments in Frisco’s much-touted $5 Billion Mile.San Antonio-based developer Embrey Partners will build a 350-unit apartment community in the mixed-use project on the Dallas North Tollway.Called the Domain, the rental project will include a clubhouse, two-story fitness center, dog park and special bicycle garage.
The developer describes the project architecture as “transitional European with natural stone and stucco.”
“It’s a beautiful combination of old world European architecture with a contemporary style that brings together crisp and clean luxury with lush spaces, natural materials and high end finishes,” John Kirk, executive vice president of development for Embrey Partners, said in a written statement.Embrey Partners is the first developer to launch a project in the $700 million, 40-acre Gate development.Located on the west side of the tollway at John Hickman Parkway, the property is owned and has been planned by Dubai-based Invest Group Overseas.
The project has been in the works for more than two years. Proposed developments for The Gate include almost 20 buildings ranging in height from about three stories to more than 10 floors.
The development is envisioned to include more than 650,000 square feet of office space, almost 1 million square feet of residential buildings, more than 130,000 square feet of retail space plus a luxury hotel.”IGO is known for trendsetting, luxury residential and mixed-used developments,” Kirk said. “We are proud to be part of The Gate project right in the heart of Frisco’s $5 Billion Mile.”
