Ted contributes 35 years of contracting and multi-family expertise to Embrey Partners, gleaned from his previous responsibilities for strategic planning, business development and maintaining operations for a regional general contractor and national multi-family developers. His experience includes in excess of 44,000 multi-family units, including luxury apartments, student housing, senior housing and military housing, with over 6,900 units with Embrey.
Ted’s career has evolved from laborer as a fourth generation builder through superintendent, estimator, project manager, executive, vice president, president to partner, while building industry relationships and adding value to each project. He gives Embrey a unique skills set, combining business acumen, technological abilities and advances with an eye to the past values of craftsmanship, quality, integrity and pride in well-executed projects.
Ted earned a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and MBA from the University of Dallas.
Vice President of Construction
Brett joined Embrey in 2011, bringing his experience of more than 35 years in the construction industry. His knowledge of multi-family products include Podium, Wraps, Student Housing and Garden projects. Brett’s distinctive aptitudes include working with people to solve problems, budget forecasting, quality control, production, reporting and documentation.
As Vice President of Construction, Brett is responsible for the direct supervision and leadership of the organization’s Sr. Project Managers and Project Managers. He assures effective project planning and identification of resources needed for successful project execution and completion.
Brett started his working career as a framing carpenter when was in high school and continued while attending college. Brett completed the curriculum for an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Management at San Antonio College in 1982 and over the past 25+ years, he has been essential in the management of over 15,000 new apartment units throughout the country.
Director of Pre-Construction and Estimating
Jeb joined Embrey in 2012, after building an impressive skill set that has served as an excellent foundation for his position as Director Pre-Construction and Estimating. It is a unique combination that enables him to manage pre-construction activities, estimates, and direct problem-solving efforts for both Development, Design, and Construction on every Embrey multifamily project. Jeb has honed these skills over the past 17 years by serving as a Multifamily Project Manager, a City of Austin PDR Environmental Site Plan reviewer and an Engineer Army Officer.
Jeb is from Austin, Texas. He graduated from the College of Engineering at The University of Oklahoma and holds a Master of Construction Science, as well as an MBA and B.S. of Environmental Science.
Another of Embrey’s impressive team members with more than 35 years of experience, Cris joined our team in 2013 and serves as Chief Estimator. In this position, Cris focuses on estimating costs at all levels of the preconstruction process for all of Embrey’s projects. Cris also implements best-practices, procedures and processes for the estimating department as a whole.
Prior to joining Embrey, Cris was based in Dallas, Texas, working in the multi-family industry on projects located throughout the U.S. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University.
Quality Control Manager
Jason brings over 24 years of experience in residential, commercial and multi-family construction to Embrey. He joined Embrey in 2010 as a field superintendent and has been steadily promoted to his present position at Embrey. As a Quality Control Manager, Jason is responsible for the implementation and management of the Embrey QA/QC Program. This includes insuring third party milestone inspections, testing and documentation to verify work in place compliance of structural, mechanical, waterproofing, accessibility systems, plans and specifications.
Jason literally has gotten his experience from the ground up, working his way up over the years from construction crew member to management. During that period of time, he has been involved in the development of approximately 4,300 apartment units. His work at Embrey has included the Can Plant East, Can Plant Wrap and Pearl Parkway South projects.
