Ted contributes 35 years of contracting and multi-family expertise to Embrey Partners, gleaned from his previous responsibilities for strategic planning, business development and maintaining operations for a regional general contractor and national multi-family developers. His experience includes in excess of 44,000 multi-family units, including luxury apartments, student housing, senior housing and military housing, with over 6,900 units with Embrey.

Ted’s career has evolved from laborer as a fourth generation builder through superintendent, estimator, project manager, executive, vice president, president to partner, while building industry relationships and adding value to each project. He gives Embrey a unique skills set, combining business acumen, technological abilities and advances with an eye to the past values of craftsmanship, quality, integrity and pride in well-executed projects.

Ted earned a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and MBA from the University of Dallas.

Randy Powell

Randy brings more than 25 years of construction and management experience, with a national project portfolio in excess of $2B dollars. His extensive construction experience spans multiple sectors including multifamily, mixed-use, precast structures, senior/student and military housing, high rise condos, office, manufacturing and hospitality.

As Embrey’s Executive Vice President of Construction, Randy leads and manages field operations, pre con, and estimating functions while fostering an environment of collaborative teamwork with Embrey’s development and property management teams. His unique skill set combines business and technical acumen with a proven track record of quality, integrity and predictable results.

Previously, Randy was senior VP at Yates Construction where he managed multiple divisions and a team of professionals, overseeing both public and private sector projects across the country. Prior to Yates, Randy was the leader of Clark Pacific’s GC Division, and with Walsh Construction as the President of the Northern California Division. Randy began his career in the field as a laborer/carpenter and worked his way up through the ranks to the executive level. He has a BS in Management from CSU Fresno and an MBA from CSU Stanislaus.

Outside of work, Randy enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Jeannie, have been married for over 20 years. Their son, AJ, goes to Texas A & M and daughter, Amber, attends UTSA. Randy is hooked on golf and loves to watch A&M or Fresno State football.

Jeb Brown

Vice President of Pre-Construction and Estimating

Jeb joined Embrey in 2012, after building an impressive skill set that has served as an excellent foundation for his position as Director Pre-Construction and Estimating. It is a unique combination that enables him to manage pre-construction activities, estimates, and direct problem-solving efforts for both Development, Design, and Construction on every Embrey multifamily project. Jeb has honed these skills over the past 17 years by serving as a Multifamily Project Manager, a City of Austin PDR Environmental Site Plan reviewer and an Engineer Army Officer.

Jeb is from Austin, Texas. He graduated from the College of Engineering at The University of Oklahoma and holds a Master of Construction Science, as well as an MBA and B.S. of Environmental Science.

Joseph Ponce

Joseph joined the Embrey team in 2015, and currently holds the title of Chief Estimator. Joseph brings more than 10 years combined experience in Multi-Family, Commercial, and Civil Estimating. As Chief Estimator, Joseph focuses on estimating costs at all levels of Embrey’s preconstruction process. He is responsible for implementing best practices, procedures and processes for the estimating department as a whole. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
